Josh and Kim

Saturday Josh Kluge and Kim Krueger tied the Knot at Lake of the Isles Lutheran Church in Minneapolis with a reception at the Calhoun Beach Club. Kim had wished for snow to compliment their Christmassy "Fire and Ice" theme, and she got it in spades. Kim is in public relations for US Bank. Josh is a legal recruiter for Adams and Martin Group. Their ceremony was the best of tradition - a candlelight service with gorgeous classical music. Kim looked like a snow princess in her elegant gown and gorgeous bouquets by Richfield Floral . At the reception, the Christmas trees were hung with ornaments bearing their names - everyone was asked to take one home. One of the games was questions about the couple picked out of a bag, with answers provided by the guests. Everyone apparently got home safely despite the six inches of new snow fouling up traffic. Josh and Kim are in Mexico right now soaking up a very different weather pattern. We wish them all the best! Click on any image to open in a larger window.

Twin City Bridal Directory Cover Shoot

Yesterday we joined Bruce Vassar and Matthew Trettel, "The Wedding Guys" from the Twin City Bridal Association for a fun shoot for the cover of the 2008 TCBA Directory. The setting was the lobby of the cool Graves 601 Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. Bruce brought in trunks of gorgeous 2008 wedding gowns from Vera Wang, Reem Acra, Peter Langer, Elizabeth Fillmore and Le Spose Di Gio of Italy. They were gorgeous and set off beautifully by the lobby's LA-style architecture. One of our images will be used on the cover of the 2008 TCBA Directory, available in January here. Thanks Guys!

Paige and Doug on the Knot!

One of our favorite weddings in 2006 has made a Real Weddings feature on The Knot! Paige Doughty and Doug Washburn married on their family's Lake Ontario cabin in New York State in a ceremony that gets an A for originality. See the story here.

Jennifer and Peter

Jennifer Kelly and Peter Schmitt and I met at Interstate Park way up in Taylor's Falls recently for an engagement session. We were there at 9-am and had the place to ourselves, even the sun hadn't gotten over the top of the St. Croix River bluffs on the Wisconsin side. They love the outdoors and live not too far away, in Forest Lake, so this was a perfect setting for their romantic side. Jen is a graphic designer and Peter works in health care. Their wedding is set for April 26 at St. Mary of the Lake Church in Plymouth with the reception at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center. Jennifer seems to delight in everything and has an easy laugh, and between them both we spent very little time being serious. Their other love besides the great outdoors is the University of Minnesota sports -- it's hard to tell from their jerseys, huh? Click on any image to open larger!
