Jon and Sarah

Jon Medlin and Sarah Illg are engaged to be married June 6. They flew into Minneapolis to be with their family for the Easter weekend - Sarah's parents live here - and fortunately, with no wedding last weekend, I had a rare Saturday to head out to Lake Calhoun with them for an engagement session. Jon and Sarah both live in Seattle where they both work in the aerospace industry. Their ceremony will be at the St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, and the reception at the Edina Country Club. 

They are a really marvelous, warm couple and it was a pleasure photographing them.  The location was the surrounds of the lake boathouse and the sidewalks around the canal across Lake Street. It was a glorious sunset and perfect weather, the day before Easter. They will be back in a couple of months for the big day!

Ashley Kersten and Scott Terpstra are engaged to be married October 3 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, their childhood home. High school sweethearts, they met in choir have been inseparable ever since. Since they are both fun-loving people, we went to Nicolette Island in Minneapolis Saturday, a fantastic place for a date and an engagement session. These guys were terrific, fun to be with and good looking! Photographing at that time in the evening is always a pleasure, as well, with little pockets of golden light in the trees and the spectacular sunset behind the city. Tell us what you think!
