Caroline Groble

 

My friends Laurie Mainquist and Tony Groble invited me to do a senior session for Caroline, the youngest of two daughters. They have a beautiful farm in Stillwater that has a variety of great backdrops, and Caroline is so full of fun, we had a blast. Caroline is a great baker so her latest batch of cookies featured in one portrait. She hopes to use those culinary skills in her career - casino management is her career goal. Now how often do you hear that? She also loves her dogs and playgrounds so we wound up at Stonebridge Elementary School as the last rays of this beautiful day turned everything golden. Caroline sister Erin is also one of my daughter Miranda's best friends - we hear Erin is studying in Rome this semester. Lucky gal! Click on any image to open larger.

Cindy

Yesterday's wedding, Stillwater Library. Cindy Holmberg was moments away from walking down the aisle with her dad. Cindy simply stood by a wall in the library, lit by an open doorway. She has the bluest eyes and the lovely Rembrandt lighting gave this moment an elegant simplicity. 

Brad and Molly

Molly Gale and Brad Spychalski were married August 16 at the Loring Pasta Bar in Minneapolis and their reception was next door at the Varsity Theater, right on stage. This was one rocking marriage with a fun wedding party, inspired details, and the trendiest locations.  Molly, who looks like Heather Locklear (only prettier) is the event coordinator for the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) - no surprise since everything went brilliantly. Brad is senior editor for the History Channel Magazine, a great guy with so many smart, funny friends. Everyone had a blast. Flowers by Colleen's Flower Cellar.

Susan and Bryan

At one of Stillwater's historical landmarks, the Aurora Staples Inn, Susan VanHooser and Bryan Schleck were married. They wanted a simple romantic ceremony witnessed by a small gathering of friends and family. Both Susan and Bryan live in Austin, Texas - my favorite city in Texas - where she's a speech pathologist and he's a digital signal processing engineer. Bryan's parents live here in Minnesota, which is probably a lot cooler this time of year than Texas! The couple had a private meeting at Pioneer Park overlooking the beautiful St. Croix River and then held their ceremony in the bed and breakfast's back yard.
