Katie and Brian

Twice, as Katie Meyers and I tried to plan her engagement session with her fiance Brian Merz, it rained, but the third time was the charm. Last week we had a radiant, sunny day and it wasn't too hot for a change. That allowed us to roam around a garden near their home in Spring Park and make these portraits. Katie works at Macy's as an assistant buyer and Brian works in commercial real estate. They met at college in Arizona when Katie was a freshman and Brian a junior, found out they each came from Minnesota, and believe it or not, they even attended the same high school and had never known each other! Now isn't that kismet? They have been together ever since. They are planning a wedding in a couple of weeks - August 25 - with the ceremony at Incarnation Lutheran Church in Shoreview and the reception at the Calhoun Beach Club in Minneapolis.
