Caribbean Cruise Sweepstakes!

Escape

Cruiselogo

We are offering an exciting new sweepstakes starting this week. If you would like to come into the studio for a free consultation, we can sign you up for the chance to win a weeklong Caribbean cruise! Visiting our studio in person will allow you to see actual samples of our work, including album design and specialty products. Seeing them in person is always better than viewing them online. Just call for an appointment and we'll be happy to enter you in the sweepstakes and discuss styles and ideas for your special day. This is so exciting! Everyone who visits my studio in the next few months will be entered to win an all-expenses paid Southern Caribbean cruise or $1000 or $500 American Express gift cards! How can we afford to do this? We are one of a group of studios through the Professional Photographers of America that has opted into a cooperative marketing campaign that pools our resources and allows us to offer this wonderful sweepstakes. The limited number of studios enrolled means your chances of winning are a lot greater than similar contests of this kind. No purchase necessary to enter.

Nick Lande

What fun yesterday! Nick Lande, Miranda and I went to the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis to do Nick's senior portraits. It is an amazing building that I plan to spend a lot more time photographing in. Nick's a very talented performer who has been active in drama and as a vocal peformer, has starred in various Stillwater High School productions, and recently played the evil Grand Vizier Jafar in the Phipps' production (Hudson, WI) of Alladin recently. The Guthrie Theater gave us a great backdrop for his portraits. These are a few. Nick will be attending Columbia College in the fall and works as a counsellor at the Hidden Pines Ranch during the summer. It was a pleasure to be his photographer! Click on any image to open larger. Leave a comment, we would love to hear from you.

Baby Ethan

It was a special occasion Sunday in our studio - the birth of Megan Hasenwinkel and Mike Schumacher's son! Little Ethan is seven weeks old. On Sunday in our studio he was all ears and eyes, watching everyone, not saying too much yet, so tiny and precious, not even able to hold up his head. Mike and Megan are a wonderful couple who've just moved from Indiana to Iowa. Back in 2005, we were privileged to photograph their wedding at the Holiday Inn Metrodome. Mike's parents live in the Twin Cities. It's such a thrill to have them back with their little son Ethan. We've been blessed this year to photograph three children of my previous wedding clients, although Ethan is the youngest to come into our new studio so far. We hope to see him again in about six months! Click on any image to open larger. Leave a comment please!

Julia and Greg

I finally got a chance to make portraits with Julia Knittel and Greg Maki, two wonderful people who found me thanks to their aunt and uncle! Rocky and Barbara Raco are photographers in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, who helped them find a photographer in the Twin Cities for their August 3 wedding here. He gave them all the right questions to ask and the important issues to consider. So it was very gratifying that they chose me! Yesterday was cool but gorgeous at Nicolette Island for our first photography together. Julia is a graduate student in anthropology in St. Louis, Missouri and Greg's an aerospace engineer. They had fun prowling their old haunts and telling me stories about the places - they used to live right near Nicolette Island before moving. They are fun and caring people, and it's a pleasure to be their photographer. I look forward to their wedding, which will be at the Calhoun Beach Club at Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis.
