Jaclyn and Kevin

Jaclyn Alexander and Kevin Egan will be married in December, the day after Christmas, in Minneapolis. As Kevin is an Air Force flight navigator, based in Texas, he's on the move a lot; Jaclyn works as a nurse, so we were lucky to get them together for one day for this engagement session. The weather was lovely, and they brought along their "baby" - a sweet dog who was brought into a few portraits. They are a great couple and it will be fun to photograph them and their families for their wedding. I made a movie of their engagement session. Rodney and Tarah

Rodney Pritchard and Tarah Eigen were married May 23 in an elegant ceremony and reception at the University Club in St. Paul, a historic mansion that is filled with beautiful light and the pinnacle of bygone era class. The couple met while taking dance instruction, romantically enough! They wanted a wedding that would be "genuine and fun" as Rodney told me, with lounge seating, music by amazing jazz singer Nancy Harms and her combo, and lots of finger food.   Unlike most grooms, Rodney was hands-on with this wedding, creating the flowers and the invitations himself; he even plans to put together his own album. He is a graphic artist, so it will be fabulous, I am sure. Tarah glowed with happiness all day and looked like a goddess in her satiny gown. Their first dance featured their ballroom dancing skills. Alex and Chris's Wedding

Alex Lekander and Chris Madche were married May 16 at Shepherd of the  Hills Lutheran Church in Shoreview, Minnesota with their reception at the North Oaks Golf Course in North Oaks. It was our second chance to be a part of the Lekander family - Alex's sister Lindsay was married to Brent Decker several years ago and we photographed their wedding too. We enjoyed being with them again - her mom Becky Jo and dad Randy are warm, wonderful people, as is Chris's side! Chris and Alex's engagement session was on the University of Minnesota campus last August. The wedding went beautifully on this glorious spring day with everything in bloom and the weather mild.
